A few more notes…

As you start to draft your ideas for your email and content, ask yourself these questions:

  1. What do I know about my people (use data here, not just your guesses- you can even make a pinterest board for your clients so you can SEE what you know about them!)
  2. What are some commonalities between what I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT and what they WANT AND ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR – that’s where your greatest opportunity is for your products + messages to be valued (Check out the diagram in the bonuses to help you with this!)
  3. How can I present content tied to what we have in common in an INTERESTING way? A way that gets them excited and leaves them wanting more (not just another boring PDF to clutter their downloads folder)

Remember:

You don’t need to create UNIQUE content for your emails – as Amanda says, one of the best strategies is to share content from your blog or web site – the key is to get them to open it and engage with it (see email subject research link below!)

so you can develop  KNOW, LIKE & TRUST

Not sure how to ensure you’re building that ‘know, like & trust?’ Just keep in mind you’re trying to connect emotionally with people (not with their brain, their heart and guts…) Stop explaining and it… SHOW it – sing it – scream it – whatever!

Also… Keep in mind creating this content for your business is a GREAT way to start RELATIONSHIPS with other local businesses and people you may potentially like to partner with one day – so use it as a tool to get in touch and GIVE to that person/team (“I’d love to feature you in an article for my audience about “x” is a GREAT way to get someone to email you back!!)
